Where are they now? Here's what 9 of your favourite 90s pop stars are up to these days
AH, REMEMBER THE 90s?
But where did everyone end up? Let’s check in with some of our favourite pop stars, shall we?
1. Ian ‘H’ Watkins from Steps
Let’s be honest with ourselves: ‘H’ was the best member of Steps by a country mile. But what’s he doing with himself now?
For one thing, he’s after reuniting with Steps. The group is celebrating 20 years on the go this year, which means they’re sending lots of #Steps20 tweets and teasing a comeback.
But he’s also busy being a Dad to two adorable twin boys, Macsen and Cybi. Watkins welcomed the boys with his partner Craig last March.
D’aw.
He’s also done stints on shows like Who’s Doing The Dishes?, All Star Family Fortunes, The Chase and Tumble. (Tumble was like Strictly Come Dancing, but with gymnastics.) Keeping busy, so.
2. Des’ree

Des’ree is responsible for two of the biggest bangers of the 1990s — Life and You Gotta Be. Nearly twenty years on and we can still glean so much wisdom from both songs. Life, oh life. You gotta be cool, you gotta be calm, you gotta stay together.
But where did Des’ree go?
According to a fansite, Des’Ree withdrew from the public eye to pursue a career in naturopathy. Here is a hypnotherapy lullaby she recorded in 2011.
3. B*Witched
B*Witched reunited in 2013 when they participated in The Big Reunion, an ITV2 series that followed pop groups reuniting. On that show, Edele let slip that there was beef between herself and Sinead.
But it looks like they put it behind them as the group released an EP called Champagne or Guinness in 2014. (Sample song titles: Love and Money, Fighting for the Drop, We’ve Forgotten How.)
Also in 2014, Edele Lynch appeared on Celerity Big Brother where she had her fear of bellybuttons put to the test and had her face shoved into a man’s stomach. Christ.
These days, they’re hanging around with Honey G. Onwards and upwards, so.
4. Keisha Buchanan from Sugababes

Keisha Buchanan was a member of the Sugababes until 2009 when she was unceremoniously sacked and replaced by Jade Ewen. She later enlisted fellow Sugababes originals Mutya Buena and Siobhán Donaghy to reform as MKS.
Sure, didn’t they play in The George and everything?
These days, she’s busy keeping it real…
Love you, Keisha.
5. Jon Lee from S Club 7
Best known for being one-seventh of S Club 7, Jon Lee now spends his days taking part in West End shows like Aladdin and posing for photos on kitchen swings. YOLO, etc.
He also has a very cute boyfriend.
6. Chilli from TLC
You might remember Chilli as one third of the greatest female R&B group of all-time. But what’s Chilli up to these days? It seems that she’s gone down the fitness blogger route having started a website called FitChilli.com and become a spokesperson for Beachbody fitness products.
She also runs a handbag start-up called Bags by Chilli where customers are invited to get their favourite photos printed on handbags.

Aw.
7. Darren Hayes from Savage Garden
Darren Hayes is one half of Savage Garden, the group responsible for the greatest banger of a ballad from the 1990s — Truly Madly Deeply.
Hayes retired from the music industry a few years back and has since immersed himself into the comedy improv scene in Los Angeles. This is the most recent bulletin on the ‘News’ section of his website:
Right.
He also runs a movie podcast called We Paid To See This. Sure, he might as well. He has all that Truly Madly Deeply money after all.
8. Shania Twain
Once upon a time, Shania Twain was one of the biggest country/pop stars on Earth. That is, until she decided to retire and move to Switzerland.
But then she had the most dramatic break-up ever. In 2008, she announced that she was was splitting from her husband, Mutt Lange, after he had an affair with her best friend. Then Shania took up with best friend’s ex-husband and they got married in 2011.
So to recap: Shania’s husband had an affair with her best friend, so she got married to her best friend’s ex-husband. Wild, huh?
She’s poised to make a comeback in 2017 with new music. *prays for Man, I Feel Like A Woman re-release*
9. Brandy
Brandy (and Monica) was behind the best gal duet of the 1990s, starred in a quality sitcom and played Cinderella. In other words, Brandy owned the 1990s.
But she’s been keeping busy since then having played Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway, starred in her own sitcom called Zoe Ever After and embarked on the Slayana World Tour.
She is currently taking part in a cooking reality show called My Kitchen Rules with her brother (and Kim Kardashian’s ex) Ray-J.
